We recieved the hospital bill today for Steve's radiation. It was $69,000.00 for the five treatments. I can't believe it. He was completely out-patient. WOW!!
The cost of medical care has gone completely out the roof. You know if the goverment would just one year give up their pay we could get out of this mess. Ha, thats a joke, they are all rich anyway. Ok off my soapbox, have a good day everone.

Hi Wanda, amazing, the cost of medical care. The system seems to be broken with no easy fix. When Bob was confronted with another round of radiation, he wrestled with the cost of the treatment, even though it was fully covered by insurance. His goal was always pain management, not treatment, and he couldn\'t believe what it cost to do just that. I\'m just thankful there are treatments to ease the suffering for our guys!

WOW! That\'s absolutely absurd. I remember when Ray was in the hospital and his pharmacy bill was $58,000...he only had blood and food supplements. His room and board was $128,000. Something really does need to be done about this.
Dear Wanda, I hope your insurance can cover most of this cost. M\'s one-time gamma knife radiation on his brain was even more...and, I don\'t even want to start with what his brain surgery cost....but, our insurance was very good. We hit the \"out-of-pocket\" max of $5,000 and then they paid everything else. Also, through AARP, I bought a hospital insurance policy for M and was able to get $90 a day for each day M was in the hospital...and twice that when he was in ICU. This helped us a lot. Anyway, I don\'t know what we would have done without our insurance. I am so thankful I was able to give M the best care. I pray for all those who don\'t have insurance and have to struggle to get medical care for their loved ones. Love you, Linda
That is unbelievable!! The cost of health care is crazy - seems that no country is able to get it right.
But, most importantly - let\'s hope it\'s done the job for your dear Steve.

Oh, my dear that is awful ! I get so upset at the cost for cancer care . Hope you both are doing well .
