OH SWEET MYSTERIES OF LIFE

6 months after i moved, i found, on the internet, that the loud idiot who lived under me, who forced me to move....was arrested in 2010, in New Jersey, for assaulting a police officer.
The name, birthdate, New Jersey area, all match up with what the loud idiot revealed about himself to me last year.
His stories, in 2014 to me, of getting a woman pregnant at Woodstock, of that daughter not knowing he was her dad, of the mom dying of a drug overdose from being around outlaw bikers, of he being a homeless heroin addict, begging on NYC streets to have money for heroin, and in 2014 he telling me he urinated outside a gas station that wouldn't allow him to use their rest room, as well as calling another daughter, "the wino," didn't add up to "he's a good guy!" that my alleged slumlord yelled to me last year.
It's probably best I didn't know of the assault last year, cause maybe I would have used the info to get the loud, drunken/high, idiot to behave---with me staying put in the still-otherwise-depressing-enough place where i lived.
The new info also helps my bruised ego, to reinforce that I was right not to knock downstairs; I knew from decades ago it's like going into a lion's den to knock at the door of some drunk/high idiot playing loud music.  My landlord made sure to yell at me, to ask why I didn't knock, instead of stomping on my floor, with me then having the advantage of the downstairs idiot knocking at my door re my stomping.
Still debatable if the landlord knew about the assault, since he claimed he didn't know the names of the teens he hired, 2 or 3 years prior,  to work in my apt---and who wound up stealing from me.
Hopefully, I can now, finally, put this behind me, even if it is very typical for a criminal to be treated better than me.

Wow. That is quite a story. Sounds like something out of Discovery ID!

But I am also thinking he might just be making up stories.

If all of that stuff really happened how come he is not in the hoosegow?

But hey! You were definitely right not to knock!

I\'ve known people who would fit right in with that guy when I was living in low income housing. I\'m sure glad that you didn\'t get physically hurt. I think your landlord was probably getting high with that guy for free. Must have been some reason he stuck up for him. It makes you a better person for not being involved. You are so much better than either of those men. But I\'m happy you\'ve moved to a better place over what happened. You deserve better!

I\'m so glad you are well away from that now. Wow that is scary to think you were living in such close proximity to this guy. I think it all panned out the way it should have. And circumstances could have been worse if you did confront him so you did the right thing. It\'s good the way it turned out.
You are having such a better life now. enjoy now and put all that other stuff behind you.

a late hi, TroJanThunder.

Back in the late 1980s, with me involved in a minor bad event in nyc, i learned how nyc court a million times different from rural areas: defendants line up in court, maybe a dozen at a time, the judge asks how you plea, with a fine, then over, in about two minutes, if minor stuff, with a 25 dollar fine at the time when in my rural home area it would have been 400 dollars and a week in jail.

Hi, naturegirl65

big difference from old place and new, just yesterday: i got 7 disc set of first season of \"lost\" at farmer\'s market, for only two dollars---tenant i showed it to when i got home, said \"no waay\", held the door open for me too--vs--lots of dead silence when i would even say \'hi\" to others in old building.

and more i forgot...

the guy who was part of the homeless group home above where i lived, he was classified as a \"habitual offender\" in a court docket i found online...lots of boozing legal troubles for him, including pouring beer over a girlfriend\'s head, she stabbing him, then he stabbing himself afterward...all in old local newspaper article; i finally found his name.

without having a tv, i wondered, for a couple years, what \"sons of anarchy\" meant on my ex-landlord\'s t-shirt; 65 year old landlord wore a sons of anarchy t-shirt, from a biker show on tv...so, yeah, i do wonder if he got high with the loud idiot who lived next door to me.

so many trips to weekly farmer\'s market since i moved to this new town...got 11dvds yesterday for a dollar each, including some 4-movie sets. A lot better from where i lived. Though, if only i had cheap internet...;)

Yeah, those low-income HUD buildings such as I lived in Philadelphia are HELL for those just trying to survive and be civil to everyone. My loud neighbor was also assaultive. I saw him bodily throw out his girlfriend who landed on her butt outside his door. This was after he was hitting her inside the apt. Slum landlord allowed criminals in bldg. just so every apt. was occupied and he got his rent. Again, I\'m so glad we BOTH relocated and are doing so much better!

its closure. and its validation. another criminal.

really good deals from your farmer\'s market. have you tried juno for internet or do they still have net zero? there is also the library for internet, its free there, unlimited use, just bring your own laptop, otherwise its for a certain amount of hours.

phili has a lot of cheap areas to buy as well. have you looked in south phili? annieheart may know some places in phili, she lives there as well.

LivingWater,

back in 2003, at a different rural house turned apt building, it\'s landlord\'s relation through his own teenage daughter down the steps---i could hear her tumbling...weeks later he yelled to her that he was gonna throw her down the steps again....i saw him in local grocery store later with all smiles, with him as mr nice guy!

hi, 38lbs.

a few weeks ago, my building installed a computer with internet down the hall from me; i use it around 4 in the morning, when everyone else is asleep, so nobody waiting in line for their turn, though i dont trust using passwords and other personal info on it.

i\'m too broke and worrisome to be a home owner; i\'m glad where i live i can take all the baths i want without having to worry about the bill for it;)
