OH HYSTERICALLY FUNNY
If you think God has no humor, let me assure you, HE DOES! (big smile) You know well I’ve tried to keep my ordination on the down low and only flash the “Reverend” card only if absolutely necessary.
WELL, I was getting ready for the day and I like Achmed the Dead Terrorist by Jeff Dunham who is a ventriloquist/comedian. I had bought a t-shirt that had Achmed on it and it says his famous laugh line, “SILENCE! I KEEL YOU!” My husband said, “Are you going to wear that?” I told him, “Well, I’m not going anywhere today, just watching Joshua (our 3 yr old grandson).” Then the phone rang…..
I had a lady phone asking if I could please go to the hospital to anoint and pray for her mother’s healing and I said “Sure, not a problem.” Then I realized that I could NOT go lean over a sick woman in a hospital bed, pray for Jesus to HEAL HER all the while my shirt is say “SILENCE! I KEEL YOU!” (big smile)
Yes, I changed very quickly. (big smile) I mean, can you imagine what she would have thought if she’d have seen the death wish on my shirt while asking Jesus to heal her? (big smile) She’d have wondered if I was praying for her to be healed on this side or take her to the other! (big smile)
Oh, don’t worry, it gets better, as God does have humor. This same dear lady is hard of hearing. So, while I am trying to keep my “Reverend” status quiet, her daughter says, “OH! You must tell mom about your good news! She loves Joyce Meyers!” Yes, in order for her mom to hear the “news”, it had to be shouted loud enough to be heard all over the room and probably down the hall!! (big smile) So much for keeping my status quiet.
I’m sure, as the Bible states, God was laughing in the heavens (Ps 2:4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.).So, I hope by now you are chuckling and filled with joy at the antics that occur in my life. Yes, the Lord God Almighty is good and amazing…..

Hmmm, I guess so. Still, I am personally not comfortable yet with the \"title\". I think it\'s because of concern for how it may reflect on the Baptist church I attend. However, what will be per God, will be. They will either like it or not. I will NOT go against what God has asked me to do....He will be with me in the fire, thru the fire and on the other side of the fire. I have no fears..... Love & hugs.
