OH, GOOD LORD!
DW's been down with a virus and I've a back hills cure for part of it but not the other. Well, you do the best you can in these situations and ride them out.
Yeah, I keep thinking of contacting Johnson's Baby Powder department and telling them I have 24 hour cure for diaper rash. If I knew I'd get past first plate without them stealing my idea from me....
I did make the stupid move once to call the consumer line for my favorite dish liquid a question that at that time all this hand sanitizer/kill germs stuff started. I asked, "Why don't you put that in your dish liquid." Now, you know the real story of WHY dish liquid now is called "antibacterial". No, no thank you note, no kiss, and certainly no money. But just goes to show you I got brains and great $$ ideas. Must be the Jew in me. ROFLOL At least these days, that's the reason I get thrown at me all the time now...Oh, you're this because you're a Jew....Man, do I hate that! Really burns my beans.
You would've loved being a fly on the wall! I sat in this urologist (Dr. Forte) office and I'm studying Algebra I so I can teach DW. So, the pre-checker comes in to get info and I do the blah blah blah. He leaves and says Dr. Forte will be right in. So, I put my book away.
When I do, I look up and so help me, that little desky thing where they sit & write notes was in front of me and on it was a model of something. I kept staring at it trying to figure out what in the name of glory it was? Some sort of impressionistic art or what when BAM! IT HIT ME! It was a LARGE RED PENIS! I thought "Oh Good LORD!"So I looked somewhere else and, thank you, there's a poster with one hanging down staring at me. ARGH! So I ran back to my chair and grabbed my Algebra I book. Dear LORD! Can't they put those things away or have girl rooms and boy rooms? I MEAN REALLY!
The dr then required blood work and the nurse came in and she had to make notes of my blood on the desky thing and she made the same comment. She said that at one point someone had went around to all the rooms and turned them to the wall out of sight because when you are at the desky thing that sucker is right in your eyeballs! GOOD LORD DELIVER US!
Dr. Forte agreed that FIBROMYALGIA IS PROGRESSIVE AS IT IS AN AUTO-IMMUNE DISEASE!!!!!!!!

Take Care Of Yourself.....PROMISE ?
Love Ya, Barbara
My dear Barbara - what choice do I have? LOL Thanks. I think I may take a nice white hankie for the next trip on the 10th to throw over the \"model\". ROFLOL Let the staff wonder.
Yeah that would drive me nuts too...I think it\'s a guy thing they are so proud of their junk you know???
I never heard fibro callled an autoimmune disease before. They are now saying it is a precursor to many other diseases and they could be autoimmune, but my fibro turned into autoimmune thyroid disease and Ehler- Danlos, but for 20+ years it was just called fibro...any way you look at it it hurts like H___! My friends fibro just became Denervation after 20 some years....if we keep at them long enough finally a doctor somewhere will figure it out.
Oh, I\'ve known it was an auto-immune disease for years! It so far has began to mess with my \"heart\", my breathing, my thinking, and now my bladder. Just read an interesting article that IC as well as IBS are acidity related which causes inflammation. Will be starting on Zantac or Tagamet to see if that helps. Also, aspirin (the low daily dose of 81 mg) has been shown to decrease cancers such as colon (inflammatory), prostate (inflammatory), gastrointestinal, etc. They (experts) believe that since it is the inflammation causing the cells to go \"WILD\" that reducing the inflammation is decreasing the cancer risk as well. So, I KNOW that when I was on a steroid (decreased inflammation) I felt GREAT! However, darn near put me blind. So, I\'m going to try my acid reduction along with a low dose of aspirin. At this point, what can it hurt??? HUGS
That is hilarious! That is interesting what the doctor said. hmmmmm. Trips to the doctor are always an adventure aren\'t they? lol
Yeah, like my fav dr said with a smile, \"You only need a 70 to graduate med school.\" ROFLOL I told him I\'d met several of those.
