Oh Christmas!!!!! ;)

Well, Merry Christmas everyone, and best wishes to you all for 2009.I have had a nice couple of weeks just veging out, since I quit.I know I have to find another job, but I am taking a holiday first!!! I must admit, I did find it hard to get the Christmas spirit  this year.  I don't know why, maybe I ws just tired.  I guess as the kids are older there isn't that same "need" (for lack of a better word) to get all caught up in it. All the boys were here for lunch.  We had a lovely barbecue on the deck.  It was perfect weather, about 28/80 deg.  Way too much food of course.  Home made hamburgers, snags, marinated chicken, onions, potatoes and mushrooms all on the barbie, with salad and fresh bread. Yummmmm.  Followed by my Tim Tam ice cream pudding.  OMG we were all stuffed.   Today, Clint and Rick moved the doors into the shed and bought the kitchen cupboards into the house..... the first steps have been taken!!!!!!! woo hoo.Then Clint and I got into the garden and started moving the 8 cubic metres of mulch onto the garden beds.  We didn't get it finished - but it is looking great so far. (Clint moved, I raked) We also moved the big trousseau box from the dining area into my bedroom and started cleaning out the kitchen cupboards, after taking down the Christmas tree (needed the room).  Consequently, the house looks like a brothel, but I don't care.  I am sooooo tired and in so much pain.  (pissed off).Clint was going to stay for a couple more days, but now he's going home then coming back later in the week.  Trying to get the other two to agree to a day to help install the kitchen is like pulling teeth. Well, I'd better hit the sack - I'm starting to nod off.  I hope I can move tomorrow :)I hope you all had a great Christmas.  I am looking forward to a new and better year in 2009 for me, my family and friends and all who visit DS.
