oh boy.....

Oh boy...I am letting my oldest boy(15) stay the nite with a friend tonight , the first i have let him out of my site (except school) since this happened. I can't even let them ride in a car with anyone else. Of course he has instructions not to get in a car and to call me OFTEN. It will be a long day and nite.

Hang in there, be strong. My son was in boot camp when my daughter died, I was already scared for him. He is still there, he\'s to graduate May 8th and I am more scared now then before. But he has to live his life so I just suffer through. I know how you feel and I will be praying for you.

It is so hard to feel comfortable letting our living children go and do. It is so normal for you to feel this way. The only way they are safe is with you! I so understand. There will come a time when you will feel more comfortable letting them come and go. It just takes time...everything takes time. Take care...love and peace to you...Karen

We are overprotective once we\'ve lost a child. It is so very normal. In the back of our minds we wonder and worry if something so terrible could happen again. Some how as time goes by we learn that our job is to trust our children because we cannot protect them every minute of everyday. We have to learn to live in faith again and not fear. It takes time to get to that place. I still worry all the time but somehow I\'ve learned to slowly let it go so I can allow my other children to go through life despite my own fears. I certainly have a great sense of gratitute each night when they are home safely. Hang in there. Love Robin
