Oh boy!

Well - not necessarily "breaking news" because my collar bone isn't broken.  There is something going on though.
Pen Pal -  God love ya.  You've been trying to get me to see a doctor for quite sometime now because I've been complaining about it.  The reason I kept putting it off was because it didn't always hurt, it didn't hurt bad enough, I know that the only thing recommended for a collar bone break is rest (unless it's "really broken"), AND I didn't want to give up soccer.
Well, after two years after the fall that caused the pain in the first place,  I finally decided to have it x-rayed because the pain was traveling further down my collar bone and into my ribs, neck, and the back of my head.  The ortho doc said I should see my family doctor to find out what the underlying cause could be.  I knew that first visit wouldn't get too far but the fill-in doctor did give me steroids.  Between the visit to the ortho and the FD, the pain was getting worse.  Glad I'm on the steroids but I'm only on them for 6 days.  In the meantime, I do have an appt. with a PT (recommended by the ortho) and then the next day with a doctor who treats TOS (Thoracic Outlet Syndrome).  I think I might have it and thought I could at least rule it out because, based on my experience) they never seem to bother finding out what the cause might be.  Just write a script and wait.  So I hope by trying this other doctor I might get somewhere.

We'll see.....
