Off to PT, Don't Want to Go, Find the Funny!

I know, I know. I spent yesterday in bed, cozy and with my dog by the side of the bed. I felt lazy but needed restorative rest and to get off my feet. The pain worsens when I stand or walk. A longer walk does me good however and I refused to go with when asked. Politely declined is a better way to put it. I know the PT is helping with some symptoms but isn't with others. This is diagnostic in value for the therapist but I haven't got a bloody clue how to read it. It's funny now; I would love to stick my head in the sand...or my fingers in my ears and go "la,la,la,la..." but I'm an adult, most of the time. Ha ha. So, what's a girl to do? Go, grin and bear it, and be thankful for the privilege of being able to do so. So many others don't have insurance, no way to get help and I won't feel sorry for myself as it does me no benefit whatsoever. I want to be a survivor and a support for others with DDD. It won't kill me, some days I just wish it would. Yesterday was one of those days. Perhaps the emotions are a side-effect of the Gabapentin. I find that prayer, fervent and grateful gets me out of the moods. It really works for me so bring on the revival service!! I will persevere, keep on keeping on, fight the good fight...come on friends; give me more platitudes. Ha ha. ( Sometimes, don't you just want to slap someone when they say this to you?) I'm laughing to myself...out loud over that one. There, I'm good! Find the funny!!! That's my motto. This disease may take away some things but it won't take my faith or my sense of the absurd. Note: someone told me to find my happy place ...I was thinking it burnt down when I was officially diagnosed and was a crime scene now. Didn't have the heart to tell them as they were so sincere. Anyone else have comments from others to share?
