Of Two Minds

I must have a healthy dose of the hunter warrior in my genes. (that's odd...I thought it was my wallet...what?...Oh..Genes!.. not jeans..never mind). Now that that is cleared up, I shall explain. I am filled with the urge to go out and see the world. This urge's timing could not be worse. The temp and humidity are going to be high today and the air quality is well into the yellow zone.  I must be really feeling good otherwise this would not be an issue. My conscious mind is saying, "You are just getting over an exacerbation,  the air quality sucks, and it's blazing hot out!"My subconscious responds " That exacerbation was ages ago..last week. And hey, what did the folks do before they measured temperature and air quality?" My conscious mind takes a long pause... and then responds "They died"  Point awarded to the conscious mind.  So I won't do anything outside today...at least until evening. I may go to the mall and library just to get out a bit. All of these are in door activities I'll grant you, but at least it's someone else's indoors. I'm tired of mine. Be well,Tom

Sounds like you have a bad case of cabin fever. At least part of you is still thinking straight and keeping you out of trouble. I love going to the library. I\'m not a big fan of the mall though.

The heat index yesterday was 109. I was wondering why I wasn\'t feeling too well when I went to work yesterday...now I know.

I try to push myself too much after I\'m feeling better too. I think it is natural to try to get your life back to normal after feeling rotten for so long. The key is to slowly get back into a normal routine...not that I follow this advice :)

I hope your adventures help with your cabin fever,

Robin

Yes...cabin fever. That really is the pits. Going to building with air condtioning for a change of scenery is a good idea. Library, supermarket, a museum, or the mall would be good just for a change in scenery.

Please be careful and stay in touch with your rational mind. :-)
