Of "Peggy"

I guess most of you don't understand my status.  Who is "Peggy"?  Peggy is the Guy on a credit card commercial on t.v..  You know,,the guy in the small snow bound shack that "helps" users of a credit card.  Some may think things that dumb don't happen.  Believe me they do.  As most of you know, my last job was at a call center where we helped people with their bills, plans, and product problems.  There were times when we would have to get technical help and many times the person answering the phone would have a foreign accent, but an American name.  They didn't mix up the sexes for the most part.  While there, several of our trainers, team leaders, and supervisors were sent to another country to train a new call center.  We asked if it would effect us and were assured it wouldn't.  Six months later, our center closed!  One of the first things we'd hear from a caller was "Thank God, you're an American!  American call center jobs are being shipped to foreign countries more and more.  Let's face it.  A person where English is a second language cannot pick up on the nuances of common English and communication is difficult at best.  Peggy is a symbol of my job going away and since I've been watching the Stanley Cup Playoffs, I see him much too often

We have the \"Peggy\" commercial up here too and I see him way too often too. LOL. Too bad it is true too. It\'s frustrating for me to get someone who doesn\'t speak my language after being on hold for 30 minutes waiting to explain my problem to and then I get \"Peggy.\" Help! :)
