Of Miracle Whip & SS
I grew up on Kraft Miracle Whip. It was on my sandwiches, including hamburgers and sometimes hotdogs. Love the stuff. But,I haven't been able to afford it for several years and have been using the store brand because it's 50-60 cents cheaper. Every time I'd buy the store brand, I'd gaze at the Miracle Whip and think of the flavor I was missing. Last week, I got a coupon that would put MW about a dime more than the store brand and grabbed it. Oh, joy! The next week, after running out of the store brand, I opened that big jar(which is now plastic instead of glass.) and dipped my finger in it.Disappointment! It tasted no better than the store brand! It has improved a bit. The wide mouth of the jar has an easy grip top. It's not worth the difference. Another food thought I've been having is I'm tired of chicken. I have homemade chicken salad about three times a week and thanks to the grocery store, I've been able to buy chicken breasts at a very low price. Most of the meat I eat is chicken since I was diagnosed with type 2. And I'm tired of tuna too, having it the same number of meals, alternating with chicken. I put a lot of "salad" in them, adding bell peppers, celery, onion(in the tuna only), and sweet relish. I have a food confession. I've become addicted to hash browns,,the shredded kind. I bought a bag on a whim and can't stop. I scramble eggs into them for my breakfast burrito. Thinking about adding them to a meatloaf. Got a letter from social security. They have decided, in their infinite wisdom, that I will stop getting disability payments starting this month since I will reach my legal retirement age. I guess they think since I'm reaching 66, I no longer need the money. Well, I might fool them. I'm finally going to a muscle doctor this week for my right hand. If he can fix it, maybe I'll pick up some computer work. That would show them!

You are going to be surviving on even less money or are they switching you to your retirment benefits from the disability?
My food taste change based on my food budget it appears. Several weeks ago I was allowed to enjoy my, every four months, food splurge and had some cheesecake and also had some \'cookies and cream\' ice-cream which I picked some plums out back and ate them with the ice cream - WOW, it was SOOOOO good. I am back to the boring veggie fare I call \'food\' until in about four months I get to \'oink out\' on the \'good stuff\'. That break to my \'Disneyland of food\' three times a year keeps me thinking life is not so bad after all. LOL
What kind of computer work will you be looking for?
((hug))
