Of Loss and Lament

Now it all turned out the way The way I feared it would Fighting back, this hopeless day Barely doing what I could I tried so hard to save it It crumbled, fallen from my grasp And so I could only break it From the questions I would ask For I might have all the questions Though the answers arrive so few Mulling over all the best ones Drawing deafness out of you Now I sit here, stumbling Wearing out what wouldn't last Actions breaking, crumbling Droughted rivers from the past Now the water it flows downhill Streaming rivers from a face I look behind to what I found, still Burnt ashes in its place Left alone to be so cold Dreams all gone, let pain unfold The love I had, it grew so old In its precious views, it won't be told March 12, 2006 --
