Odds and ends
I am back from a nice vacation in Florida and have no more excuses to avoid writing a journal entry...so here goes. Florida was fun. We stayed in Ormond Beach which is just north of Daytona Beach...but MUCH quieter. The resort is right on the beach (which is where good resorts ought to be...unless it's a ski resort... but I digress). We visted St.Augustine and took a harbor cruise there. While on the boat we saw a small group of dolphins working as a team to drive a school of fish toward the surface for easier hunting. However, the local pelicans also noticed the bounty provided by the dolphins hard work. The pelicans dined very well thanks to the efforts of the dolphins. (I think some of my relatives must be pelicans...but again I digress. ) In addition ,we toured the old Spanish fort and Flagler College. It was very interesting. We also went down and toured Cape Canveral/Kennedy Space Center. That tour was fascinating. The rest of the time we hung around the resort and enjoyed the ocean. I only got a bit sunburned...but that bit was on my nose. For a few days I went around looking like Rudolph the rednosed reindeer. This weekend we are spending three days in Branson (Yeehah!) My wife, my two sons and my daughter will also be there to celebrate my 60th birthday. Only down item is that I have picked up a summer cold. My nose is running more than a leaky faucet. The trickle cough is also causing the asthma cough to kick in. (Nothing like teamwork,eh?) I refuse to allow this to interfere wth my good times. They'll just have to be a little more subdued. That's about it for now. In closing I'll just say... AAAAHCHOO...does anyone have a kleenex? Tom

Keep everything in perspective....it could always be worse. I\'m here to remind you. LOL. Anyway, many happy birthdays dear friend and I hope you have a blast with your family and friends. The FL trip sounds wonderful. I went to the Cape Canaveral/Kenney Space Center too. I\'ll never forget it. Yes, agreed, great tour!
