October Was a good Month
Overall, my mood for October turned out pretty good. It wasn't as good as the month of August was, but overall it was good. I had many days where I was feeling average or above, and that's great. I'm hoping I can keep it up for November. I had the same hopes for September, but September was a bit more of a hassle for me. Still, if I can keep up one good month, one okay month I can live with that. I hope I get this job at work so I can get paid, and that would help me out even more. I am going to do my 5k tomorrow, and depending on what time I get done I may go in. I don't think I will have time to go in, but I'm going to try. I don't know how I'm going to sleep tonight, so I will see. I think I'm going to set my alarm for noon and try and do it then.... I know it's going to be the hottest part of the day, but today was a beautiful day, so I'm hoping for the same tomorrow. I have to go in to get soda for Geo, since I forgot to get him soda today... He ran out. He always drinks more soda at the end of the month for some odd reason... I guess it's because we are running out, so he wants to drink more. He has this thing where if something is low, he uses more of it. It's a very bad habit to have, but it's just the way he is.
Mood today was good. I was in Managed Care all day, and I got to talk to my boss Joe. I told him about the opening for the job I applied for, and he said he was going to get me the interview. I'm a bit worried about the interview, but I know I can do this. I need to find all my old notes from interviewing before. I had this little packet that I would take with me on the bus on my way to an interview where I had possible questions they could ask and how I should respond. I'm all excited about this interview... I just need to make sure I don't get too built up over it in case I don't get the job. I mean, they want me to get the job and all, but they can't hire me, it's up to the person doing the interviews. I'm still a bit hypomanic, but I'm doing better than I was yesterday. I had to take some heavy sleeping pills to get to sleep, but once I got to sleep I was fine.
I don't know how to not get my hopes up too high over this position. I know they want to hire me, and I know that I can do the job. I like the people I work with, and the only thing that would hold me back would be the hours. Still, if it's part time, I can come home and take a nap, so that's not too bad either. It's a max of 29 hours a week, so I will see. I'm hoping for 4 hours a day, in the afternoon, but I have to see what they want. It's about what they want, not what I want.
Well, it is about what I want as well... I have to want to do the job. I'm still going to volunteer there if I don't get the job, so that's not going to change... I wish I had done better on the typing test, but I wasn't prepared for the two spaces after the period since I only do one. I passed, and that's the thing that matters. I need to get ready soon for the interview... I don't know when it's going to be. I need to get my suits ready, and see which one looks the best. I was hoping to go with the blue pantsuit since it's nice and not super formal (the dress for the clinic is a bit over casual, but not super formal, so I don't want to overdress). I just hope I fit into it. The last time I tried it on, I was 267 pounds and it was skin-tight. Now I'm about 239 (yay for losing 30 pounds!) and so I hope it fits better. See, there I go again, trying to get my hopes up about something that I'm not sure about. I need to calm down over this and figure out what I need to prepare myself if I don't get the job.
Food today was good... I was a little under my calories, but not by much. I had a piece of pizza for breakfast, ramen for lunch, I had a Fiber One bar for a snack and regular dinner. I wish I had better food to eat, but that will come in time. I think I'm going to call Geo's dad on Thursday to see about going to the store so we can get some good food. It's getting to be that time for us... we are running out of food. If not, I will have to figure out some way to get to the store on my own this weekend, and I'm not looking forward to that. I would have to carry a lot of stuff home, and I'm not good at that. Geo's dad has been great about taking us to the store, though, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem. Stress today was low... nothing really of note. Sleep was good... I got about 12 hours of sleep once I got all the pills I needed to sleep in me, and mood was good!
