October 19 Update

As of Thursday morning (October 18) the only news I have received about my Fairy Godmother's condition is this which I received via email from her daughter:
"Yesterday Mom had and angiogram. They can not find the exact place where the bleed occurred. They think because her blood pressure was very high that she popped a blood vessel and because she is on blood thinner and aspirin that caused a large brain bleed.
Yesterday they said that she had gained some strength in her right leg. I called this morning and they said she has tingling in her right hand. Yesterday she still could not move that hand. They are planning to move her to a step down unit today but no guarantee. When they are sure things have settled down for sure she will start physical therapy.
We are still taking it a day at a time but that is the latest. Please keep up the prayers because they are working."
So THANKS to ALL OF YOU for keeping my Fairy Godmother in your thoughts and prayers! IF she does get moved to a step-down unit and can have non-family visitors, Tom has promised to drive me to Baltimore tomorrow so that I can see for myself how well she is doing. You all would just LOVE Gloria! She is the BEST and has a lively sense of humor, too.
As to the house deal, I am much calmer now than I was when the offer first came in. I am thinking that this is either supposed to happen or it's not and there's nothing I can do to make it swing one way or another. I AM delighted, though, that the couple are more than willing to let us stay here until April 1st if they DO go through with the purchase. Margaret the Realtor said that as soon as they sell their NYC co-op, they intend to address my counter offer and that if we are able to agree on a price, they will begin their inspections immediately. The thought of THAT is a little daunting -- not that there is anything wrong with my place, but some of these home inspectors really have no clue as to what old houses are like. But I'm not going to worry about that now.
The sun is finally breaking through at noon -- we had thunderstorms and rain most of the night and into the early morning. I have some errands to run in town, so I'm going to get moving now. I DID get some pictures of the dolls in their new outfits yesterday and I plan to post them later today or this evening. This sewing has become somewhat of an obession for me, but if it keeps me out of mischief, that's a GOOD THING!
