observations of life
Matthew and I really fit for each each other in so many ways. i mean... he is the closest "perfect match" to me i've ever known or could possibly have. but one thing that we're NOT on the same page about is how we feel about life. I believe I am a student of life's teachings... i seek wisdom. therefore, when i make a mistake or things go bad, i take what lessons i can, build it on to me for the future, and move on. i keep learning and building. at least that is what i TRY to do. and there is ALWAYS room to grow. i'm not perfect and so i will have times i fail again, but i'm human like everyone else. and NO ONE IS PERFECT. but Matthew (possibly) seems to belive that people are stamped out from birth maybe? that we take the form of our parents and are 'built" for certain things or places in life that our parents once have. i agree with him that we are born with personality... but CHARACTER is another story. character is what we develop thru life's BS that it thrown at us. and remember, its not how big the problem is that is thrown at us... it's how we solve it (or conquere it). or in other words, "it's not the size of the hole we're in, it's how we get our selves out." born with personality, yes. but we DO have choices in life that we make... and we CHOOSE to take paths that will strengthen or weaken certain areas of our character. this "experience" is what shapes our character. if we want to strengthen areas of our character, then we will find ways in life to do so... even if it's an up hill climb. the other thing that me and him tend to disagree on is moral. obviously it is because we grew up mainly on opposite sides of the planet. i believe there IS a true right and wrong (at least with basics) and we are to follow them. but for him, it's about opinion (just as the common American would say). i have noticed that most Americans have a tendancy to say "I FEEL like doing this..." instead of " I should / need to be doing that..." therefore a lot of wreckless or irrisponsible things are done and here in the States that kind of behaviour is "normal". but like i've said before, 'normal" is a myth... what's normal in one culture isn't really normal in others. despite our differences, Matthew and I usually tend to work them out. mostly becasue there are so many things we DO share and are on the same page about, a side from our love for each other. i have never connected before with anyone like I do with him. i just hope and pray one day that he does overcome his depression very soon... i hate to see him hurting like this. and i do pray that one day he may become a God fearing man... not religious, but God fearing. he has told me that he believes that Jesus is his saviour... but for some reason i don't feel the fear of God in him. and in this life, you can't really make it thru with out it, life can have a thumb on you. having God by your side can help you and set you on the path He wants you to be, which is to live a blessed life. anyways... thanks for hearing me out on my thoughts about life... thanks for being awesome friends!! and i would love to hear your input! love you all and God bless!
