Nuts but normal.....
OK, nobody who knows me considers me by any definition as "normal". I keep getting the term "special" slapped at me and I suppose that beats nut-so, weirdo, or whatever. Personally, I keep correcting them and telling them I prefer the term "UNIQUE". Ah, doesn't that sound just lovely? Like a rare pearl or something instead of something which washed in on the river bank that can't be given an ID. ROFLOL ANYWAY, hubby, who is my total opposite and feels the need to have an entourage with him for everything, like an outing, and I on the other hand love my solitude and PEACE. Here in lies the angst. He is insistant that I MUST have a b-day party with cake and ice cream and people. You know, a PARTY. PEOPLE!!! I am going on 47 and way past the point of surprises (hate those) and racket. See, in order to have people come, I will need to clean the house to make it presentable (WORK) for the "party" in my honor. This is not fun, I don't care if you are Martha Stewart! So, I will spend 1-2 days cleaning and re-cleaning to have all things in order for "fun" at my "party" which I don't want! Can anyone understand? I told hubby I just want a cup of coffee, a good book, quiet and the freakin' remote! Now, lest you think me a Scrooge or a Grump, no, I am not. However, I have spent the last 3 wks on the road with varying children to hospitals, testings, and dr. appts. not to mention my own medical apptmts. THEREFORE, I WANT TO SIT UNDISTURBED as I am disturbed enough! ROFLOL So, I had to explain to my entourage hubby that the purpose of a b-day is that the b-day person GETS WHAT THEY WANT. So, we may be going to a massive flea market which is right up my alley. They have lots of books, jewelry, etc. and appx. 500 vendors. Ahhhhhhh, a lovely day of just meandering along QUIETLY looking which costs nothing but makes million dollar memories. NOW THAT MY PEEPS, IS CELEBRATING! Hugs & much love......
