NS visit 10/12/12

It's taken about a month to digest everything that the NS said. Some good news, some in the middle news and some put me right back where I was before, not knowing much of anything and still in pain. I'll start off with the good news...the past 2 MRI's were reported WRONG! My syrinx IS NOT 8-9mm in diameter! It's only 2mm! That makes me feel a lot better! No surgery as of yet!Now the good but not good news. There is no sign of trauma to my spine, there is no sign of a tumor, there is no Chiari, I haven't had meningitis! My syrinx is idiopathic as of now. I'm really not sure how to take that.My NS referred me back to my NL and says he's not sure why I am experiencing some of the pains that I am having. I can't either! I'm not a doctor! All I have is the research that I have done and the help from all of you! He won't treat my symptoms and wants the NL to do that. The worst news at this point! Even though I have seen my NL, I can't get in again to see her till Feb. 13, 2013! So I have to go through the coldest parts of the year and the holidays in a lot of pain. I am on a wait list, but they said it's rare for someone to cancel. I guess I will have to tough it out.
