Now what?
I think the hardest part is not being able to do anything. We have a lawyer, but some times it is very hard to contact him. The jail system here is awful, they make you feel like you are not worth their time any time you contact them to get information. This is the first time my son is in this paticular jail, so things are different. When I called to ask about visitation, they almost made me feel like I should be ashamed that there would be any body there that I would actually want to go visit. I have a cell phone, so I had to make arrangements so that I could accept collect calls. I never knew about these things. I'm at my wit's end.
