November 3, 2010 Breast Biopsy
Had my biopsy this morning at 9. I had a different radiologist come in to do a quick ultrasound on me to find the questionable site. She could not find it so they did a few quick mammo pics. The other radiologist came in and told me she was gonna do the biopsy and that it showed on the films. she appologized to me on behalf of the other radiologist. Its because it is so small that it was hard to catch it on the ultrasound. she was able to do the ultrasound, then the biopsy. she numbed the left breast up to the point I didn't feel a thing. Then she took 2 samples of the area, put the marker in (small pin) to the approximate spot where the possible area was. all and all, it took about 3 hours. The novacaine is starting to wear off but overall I am not doing too bad. I will find out Friday after 4:30.
I have things to do here before tomorrow's ACLS class. I still have to do the roster and copying. Hopefully today's nurse program will be cleaned up properly and Judy's equipment will be in the right spot.
My mom's side of the family is coming into town this week for my grandma's memorial service. I will be seeing many of them on Friday evening - it would be nice to have Roswell call me with the results before I leave the house. It will take me approx 45 minutes to get to the legion hall for the fish fry. So I have to leave the house at 5:30-5:40 give or take the Friday night traffic.

jen- you are in my prayers for a good biopsy report on friday- its a hard wait time but seems like you keep your mind plenty busy with life-joanne
I hope and pray your biopsy is benign. I will be having my 6 month in december. I am equally nervous. Best of luck to you. and Keep in touch.

If this is negative, I won\'t have to worry about ANY dr appts until Feb 3 2011. That will be my bone scan for the PKD with follow up with the oncologist on the 6th of Feb. It will be a welcome break for December and January, thats for sure. Lets cross our fingers, ok! If my spine biopsy was benign (from July) why can\'t this be????
I am so exhausted and hurting now. the novacaine is gone and have the ice pack on my left breast.
Waiting on Judy\'s copying for tomorrow\'s class. Roster is done. 20 people in this class, the max #. I think she was called to Jury Duty (she was picked). I will have to come in tomorrow at 7-7:30 to do it if I don\'t hear back from her.
I\'m thinking that since it is small this is a huge plus! right? In the worse case it should be easily removed then! But we will be praying that it is benign anyway!
I hope everything turns out well for. I think waiting is the hardest thing to do!!

We all hope your biopsy will come beack negative.I know that waiting is the worst, I had my blood test this Tuesday, my dr appt is on the 10th. so, I know how you feel.
