Nothing Yet

Well, so far, I haven't been able to find a job yet. The only thing I've ever done is teach, and I am not certified in NY. All the places I've worked for were agencies I didn't need to be certified for the position I was in-like my last position which I had for 10 years. I adapted musical scripts, like wizard of oz, for the mentally retarded adults I worked with-I loved it and really miss the job and the clients. Lately, I have been feeling like such a loser-I don't know anyone who has been fired from a job except me. And I am afraid that someone will hire me and my memory or concentration will fail me and I'll get fired. I spend each day on line or with the newspapers looking for jobs, but there is nothing for me.  I did get approved for the neurocognative testing, so that will start on the 21st. I told them it has to be done quickly because my insurance will end at the end of the month. My church gave me money for this months COBRA payment, but now I have no money to pay for it again. On top of this, I got a ticket last night because my car wasn't inspected-with everything going on, I didn't realize it expired. So that will cost me $130. I took it to be inspected, and it failed because one of the flasher lights has a housing which is cracked (?). So that will be about $150 or more. I just wish something good would happen.  Well, maybe sometime. Sorry this was so rambling-guess I'm just feeling depressed today. Hope all of you are having a good day. And God bless.   Kathy

Kathy, it does not rian but it pours. Sounds like you are having one heck of a hard time right now. I know things will get better, can\'t tell you when, but my husband and I both lost out jobs at the same time and I have been were you are now. We were lucky enough for both of us to quality for disability. Sure it is not as much as we are used to making, but it pays most of the bills with no frills. I\'m just telling you this to let you know that something will turn around for you, just when you think you are at your lowest, something will happen. Trust me, I know that for a fact. It may not be anything you expected so be prepared for anything.
In the meantime, we are here to offer whatever support we can, whether it is just to listen, we are here. I know what a deep depession can be like, I just came out of one and never, ever want to go back. I\'m here with a shoulder to lean on if you should need it.
Love and hugs
