Nothing much new....

Once again I have not written in a little while.  Things just got a bit too overwhelming with my husband being gone and I started to find out that all the little every day things we usually do together now take me twice as long without him.  I have started making lists of things I need to do and I do as much as I can in one day and if it doesn't get done then I work on  it the next day.  Of course there are certain things that have to be done in a timely manner and I'm thankful that I've always been overly organized!
I've now been off of Lactulose for about a month and what a difference!  Not to say I feel 100% better because everything else still bothers me but at least most of those nasty tummy aches are gone.  I got a note from my primary care doctor a few weeks ago and he said my ammonia was up to 144 and maybe I should talk to my specialist about going back on Lactulose.  I did call my specialist (more than once) and didn't hear back.   So this past Monday I had my yearly exam and my primary care doctor did my labs again for my ammonia and they came back at 125.  He said he would call my specialist himself.  Well, I got a note from my specialist that day saying he wanted me to go ASAP to get labs done so I'm going tomorrow.  I have no idea what the labs are for but my primary care doc said when I have them done to let my specialist know he wants a copy so he can know what is going on too.  I have a feeling a med change is coming up and I'm sort of dreading it.
So now my husband has been gone for 62 days....that's all.  It seems like forever and I still have 6 more months to go.   He isn't very good at communicating either.  He doesn't send e-mails regularly and when he does it's only a few lines.  I realize he is busy and working very hard but he also has to realize that I have things going on too and that I miss him.  I write him a letter every week and mail it every Tuesday.   I would never expect that from him but I don't think I'm asking for much from him when I ask him to write me e-mails.  To his credit, he has called me three times now and even though I can only hear half of what he says thru all the static, his voice is the best sound in the world :)  In any event, I'm doing pretty ok without him.  There have been no big issues or a crisis of any sort that I haven't been able to deal with but I miss him so much it hurts.  And lately I haven't been sleeping so my doc finally wrote me a prescription for something to try for a week to get my sleep cycle back on track.  I do feel better after 2 nights of good rest and I think I may not even need to take it for a whole week.  Goodness knows I take enough pills every day LOL
I guess that's really all that's been going on in my little world.  I'm looking forward to this month being over because the more months that go by the closer I am to seeing my handsome sailor again :)
Love and hugs and prayers....

Hi ChelseyAnn,

I just wanted to tell you that I think you are doing really well. I know its hard for you to be without your husband here. Hang in there. The time will pass. I have a feeling your right about the lactulose. I hate that stuff with a passion. No one has checked my ammonia lately but that stuff does not even work on me the same way it did. I wish there was something else we could take. I will keep you in my prayers that this time goes safely, quickly and event free for you.
