Not Yet, But Soon & other Christmas Jazz

Well, my sister hasn't talked to Mom yet. She is (wisely) waiting to calm down so that when she does talk, she won't be a screaming lunatic. Plus we'll be seeing Mom at a party on Saturday, so she figures she'll get the "lay of the land" then. She put it to me this way: "If I can't be civil to Mom, I don't think she should be there. It'll just make everyone's Christmas Eve unpleasant." Which is true. So we'll see what happens.

I'm mostly done with my baking. I just have 1 batch of cookies to bake & fudge to make, then to package & send out/give the goodies away!

Starting this weekend is all the Christmas fun: parties, gatherings, concerts. Looks like I'll have some time next week to do some wrapping, too. I used Amazon to send my youngest sister & her hubby their gifts, as well as ordering for my other sister (ship-to me, for wrapping). Mom stated that she wants to neither give nor receive this year (whatever!), and my husband & I have decided that the digital camera he bought was his Christmas/birthday/other holiday gift. So that's that!

There is one tiny part of me that is crying out to play Dad's trumpet. Just for me. But I don't know when I'll have time. I'll try not to stress about it.
