not so super fabulous
Tuesday I had my follow up appt with Dr God (my neurologist). I gave him this name when I felt like he wanted me to bow in his presence. Dr God is very apathetic at best. This appt was not any different. We first had to refresh his memory of who I am and all of my fun issues. Then came options.
1. Tysabri- was off the table due to +JCV antibody and methlotrexate use now back on the table due to lack of options
2. Methlotrexate- again bad bad BAD side effects for me... but worked last time
3. Imuran- new but like methlotrexate and another x against Tysabri
4. wait for BG-12 - but... I had horrid GI side effects to aubigio and will most likely have them w this drug too.
5. Glydnea- must have a vision work up and ECG prior to and DURING first dose of...
WOW!
He did offer an antidepressant and asked if I bought a cane yet and how it has been working out for me...
Keep in mind, not even a year and half ago Dr God told me I wouldn't need a cane for another 10-15 years.
My girl at work let me know the big boss is going to have a meeting with me when I get back, because the one doctor has raised the question "Is my medical condition affecting my ability to do my job as an office nurse"
I took this crappy job, outside of a hospital making MUCH less money because it is supposed to be less stressful.
Maybe... If they would have hired another nurse 6 months ago when the other nurse quit, there would not be an issue? But, I have been doing the job of 2 full time RN's for 6 months and I get sick and go to the ER and they want to talk about me being able to work?
