Not Liking Where This is Going
Been on 2000mg of cellcept a day for almost 2 years & has been doing a pretty good job. But in the last 6 months it seemed to be losing its effect. Get up in the morning, put together my todo list, do one thing & I'm down for the rest of the day or manage to do one day of things & I'm done for days.
Saw neuro in April. Upped my cellcrept to 3000mg. Return to see her in 6 weeks. Blood draw to be done in 2 to 4 weeks. The day after seeing her came down with bronchitis. That lasted 3 weeks. Put off blood draw till 4 weeks thinking that being sick would throw off the results. Seemed the last 2 weeks before seeing her I couldn't regain my strength. May 23 return to see her, saw her nurse practitioner. She decided I needed to start prednisone. Now I have refused to do prednisone all this time because the thought of the side effects scare the hell out of me, but I gave in out of desperation. First day I took it my breathing went within 10 minutes. Took 2 mestinon & layed in the recliner. Finally just a little, but this went on ever day & every day got weaker & weaker. I finally ended up in ER on Tuesday. Took off the prednisone. Now I guess it is a wait & see what's next. I know prednisone is not for me. I have not been this weak in over 30 years. After 25 years I really didn't think I would see you again MG.
