Not drinking can be difficult sometimes!
I just keep thinking of drinking, and I am glad I don't have alcohol here, because I don't think I can trust myself around it. Maybe I will do more housework to keep myself more busy later. I don't think I would drink but I feel like I want to. I wont do it though.

Keeping yourself real busy is a way to fight the feeling. You have to control it, this is learned through patients. It does weaken as time goes by but you will always have to fight it, sorry but I will not lie to you. Eric
Yes you are right. Well now I am mad at some family for bringing their laziness on me, so the focus has been taken off the alcohol and put on them. I am cured of my cravings at this moment, and can\'t wait to talk to them later to discuss something that has been bugging me for almost a year now!!
Its good to get that stuff out.
I let my brother and his wife move with me last summer. They have been out of work since nov 08, and was not even thinking of getting a job, and now that unemployment ran out, their net and cable is gone. So they have called me at 6pm in the evening wanting to know if they can use the computer to \"look for a job\" but that was just an excuse, because they turned around and saID they want to watch the tv show lost at 9pm. What is pissin me off is that I have watched them \"kick it\" for a year since they been in Atlanta, go to parties, clubs, and other unproductive shit. Now that unemployment is not getting extended they want to come lounge at my place that I bust my ass to pay for! So I am too pissed to think about alcohol right now! LOL sorry, had to get that out until I tell them off
Ok dear lady, who is your support system? Who is backing up? Yes, You can get sober by yourself, but you can\'t stay sober by yourself. Who can you call to stand with you against your brother and his wife? It sounds like you might be codependent too. Did you grow up in a family that used and abused alcohol? There\'s nothing wrong with asking for help. It doesn\'t make you weak or any of the other stuff we got taught.... My prayers are with you and that you get and find the help you need. Ms Donna
I did just tell my boyfriend about my problem, and my sister knows. They are supporting me in my decision to not drink, and I have been talking to them about this issue, but it is embarassing to me. My dads side of the family drank and did drugs, but I was not around them growing up. As far as my brother and his wife are concerned they havnt lived with me since last summer, but at times are still a thorn in my ass. I do admit I have a problem with being too nice to people and not telling them how I feel about them until my blood starts to boil. And I have always had a hard time asking for help because when I did noone helped me. So I got used to doing everything on my own. So it is very difficult for me to even come here, and put my picture and info up, and tell people this alcohol problem I have. I have hidden it from others. I will try to seek more help but I do admit that is hard for me to reach out as I have never done it before.
