Not as agitated

So it's been a few days since my last journal. The voting is done, thankfully. We shall know the results of that come tomorrow. Honestly, I think it ridiculous that it even happened the way it happened. Since our county isn't doing testing, we may never know what the true impact will be of this, for our county anyway. the state is over 3000 now. I try not to check that too often either. It's too depressing.

Work..... well every division in 3M will be furloughing employees that are not in the manufacturing of essential products (ie respiratory, sanitizer, wound care facilities) my group will NOT be off, as we are 'essential'.. VP access granted. Me personally, I test the N95 respirators on human test subjects. I've been in the lab for 12 years and 3M for 23 and I've NEVER seen it like this. in that time, I remember getting ONE day off because the gov of MN called it an emergency, so we got to stay home and got paid.

Speaking of weather, we have a winter weather warning from Sunday am through Monday am....... 6-12" of SNOW... yeah. well, at least it will be melting soon. Bob was out and aerated and raked the yard with the mower today. He was out there for 4 hours. I think mostly to hide...... ha yeah I've been in a bit of a funk lately..... crabby, pissy, cryish, and depressed. I mean...... yeah there's been a LOT going on ..... and that's ok, he can hide..... just glad I know he's safe.

Tyler is doing better! his fever has broken, which leads me to believe that his medication for MRSA has kicked in and doing its job. I am overjoyed that I talk to him every single day. He has come to discover video chat, yeah I'm NOT a fan of that. So yesterday when he video chatted, I turned my camera to the 'room' side..... ha I kept pointing it at the sleeping cats. He said, I have some good news and some bad news....... he said my wound continues to make progress (the most it has in a YEAR) I was elated!!!! so I asked so what's the bad news Tyler............ he has developed ANOTHER wound........ on his coccyx. dammit dammit dammit. We sent Tyler some respirators for his journey days to the doctor. He should get them on Monday.

There is nothing they can really do at this point put to keep an eye on things.

thank you for comments on my last rant of a post, I TRY not to have many posts like that, but I think I was just broken that particular day. I've been sleeping a lot and was just ......... blah. better days are ahead, they have to be.

I think we are all in a place that is unsettling. with appointments, vacations, all 'non-essential' things being cancelled, and that's HARD, isn't it? so so hard.

I cut my bangs the other day. ha, I needed my stylist before all this started, I'm really going to need her after!!! Bangs look good well good enough haha (they were down to my chin!!!) and the weight gain...... good lort, I'm going to have to name it my cova roll..... sheesh. y'all maybe know what I'm talking about.

we're all in this together....... can't tell you how that's getting worn out..... I cringe when I hear it now. or it is what it is...... HATE that even more. My brother Jim is good for that one..... drives me bonkers. He even had my mom saying it. I barked at her. haha she hasn't said it since.

As I sit here there is a set of mourning doves on the deck railing, they showed up last summer and are back again this year. (they picked the right house) The kitties really enjoy watching them. they're pretty quiet and are entertaining for us all. there must be a nest nearby. they sit on the railing for a few hours a day, basking in the sun.

love and prayers for all of us to get back to our normal.

Love and hugs

Lisa

I don't think we'll ever know the REAL results/impact of this virus. Such a crazy time in history. Lives turned upside down at best.....lost at worst. Too much news I think...too much of everything....and not enough of anything! Like I said, CRAZY!!!

Today we're expecting heavy storms which will most likely include some tornadoes. I wouldn't know how to act with 6-12 inches of snow right now. But I guess we're all just used to the weather we're used to. And I understand Bob "hiding" out.....Roger has been doing the same, LOL! He hides in the barn, in the pastures, in the woods, in the garden....anywhere that's not where I am when I'm "having a moment", LOL! I try to control my moods, but damn it, it's hard sometimes!

SOOOOOO thankful to hear that Tyler is doing better and the meds have kicked in!!!! Lord, can't we just get all good news without a new wound!!!!!! The roller coaster of emotions is one wild ride....one I know you'd like to get off of for a while! Prayers, prayers and more prayers!

I cut Roger's hair and I actually did a really good job! So good in fact I decided I would cut the sides of mine...where it's layered to "feather back". OMG!!!!! Chop, chop, chop suey, LOL! Every time I've cut my bangs, I've screwed them up, no idea why I thought I could layer my own hair!!! My hair dresser will have a DAY when she sees me next time! She'll definitely earn a HUGE tip!

I get what you're saying about "all in this together"........this isolation from everyone I love sure as hell doesn't feel "together". On the other hand, I feel a little like I did when I first found DS after Kala's accident, in the sense that knowing what I was feeling and dealing with wasn't 100% unique to me, that others too were feeling, thinking, dealing with the same heart hurts. It helped me feel not so alone. I think that's the message in "we're all in this together". The part about it I don't like so much, is it seems businesses....advertisers....are jumping on the bandwagon using that slogan as a way to market their products. I don't think that's cool at all!

I googled mourning dove and found this:
The mourning dove call is a distinctive “wooo-oo-oo-oo" sound which may evoke a feeling of grief over the loss of a dearly beloved. But far from representing death, mourning dove symbolism can give us optimism with its spirituality. Beyond their sorrowful song is a message of life, hope, renewal and peace.

With today being Easter Sunday, I find reading this message of life, hope, renewal and peace being offered via the mourning doves you've been witnessing, to be very encouraging!

I adore you sweet friend and I continue to pray for Tyler and for all of us. And btw, how is your brother doing? I haven't seen a message from sharecare lately.

I am thankful we have this space to vent when we need to! Being HEARD during those times is so vital to our continued healing. Just releasing that pent up energy is healing! So, I thank you for sharing your truth with us; no matter what it looks like.

Continue doing the best you can, as you have been, and know one day, this virus will end and we will rebuild our world once again.

Love you BIG!

Thank you Teri!!!
I laughed about you trying to feather your hair.. images of Farrah Fawcett's hair immediately popped in my mind..
I think you're right about all the media "we're all in this together ".. it's way over used, it's so different from lets say 9/11 everyone WAS looking out for each other.. this seems like a "me" storm... what can i do for me..me me me.. . if that makes sense.. the hoarding the nastiness, people turning in their neighbors at the drop of a hat.... thank goodness we're not in town..
Jim and his fam are doing well.. all rehab appointments were cancelled of course but he's doing his own version of therapy to hold him over. May have surgery later this year to remove the excess bone growth..
We are due to lay my dad ro rest the Tuesday after memorial.. may even need to reschedule that, to give the proper and deserved send off.. thats hard but we will get there eventually.
Glad Roger has a place to go and 'hide' too!!! Not sure what Bob will do today with the snow storm... poor guy has a shitstorm inside and a snowstorm outside!!! Ha really I've been a little more quiet than i normally am, i honestly don't know if he's even noticed. Ebb and flow.. if i dont quit shoveling food in my pie hole., he'll be able to roll me everywhere!!!! Apparently I'm a stress eater. That will get better with work getting busy tho.. hopefully. Tyler, other than his sores and infections, is rather liking the seclusion, he's not a fan of huge crowds anyway.. why he lives in Vegas... lol!! He's busy researching apartments in Harrisburg Mississippi.. and finishing his classes. He sure is a miracle. He has no idea how he lifts my spirits daily.
Love and hugs sweet Teri!!!
Love you bunches!!

Lisa.....The "Farrah" look is my goal! I currently am further away from that goal than I was last week, lol!

Thanks for the additional info on Jim and Katie. I pray for them each time they cross my mind. And I know y'all will find the "perfect" time (if there be such a thing) to hold the memorial for your dad. (((hugs)))
