Not a typical Monday

A very good friend at work died of a heart attack suddenly this past weekend.  I have a old window pane he gave me as I've had a project for my balcony I've been wanting to use it for.

We use to talk projects when he would come in.  The latest was building a room divider out of a fence panel.

He use to come and go from the office singing 50s tunes.  I will miss that.  I'll finish that pane project and that will be my tribute to him.  My boss is helping his wife out with the arrangements so I've just been doing my work and staying emotionally detached as usual.  I'm finding I have to put up walls when coming to work anymore just to tolerate it.

I just want to get through the next few days.  I've decided I have to sell the armoire I bought.  It is too heavy to take up 3 flights of steps but at the time I bought it, I didnt anticipate switching to a third floor.

I've grown attached to it and may even leave it with Roomie.  I find I get emotionally attached to objects. I think it's because it was the first thing I bought for my new place.  Who knows what will happen in a year.

Maybe you can leave it at roomie's place until you have the ability to find someone to help you move it. Sorry about your work friend.

I hope you honor your workmate by turning that window pane into a fine work of art. I love creative repurposing of old materials.

That's the thing about life. Everything is temporary...Nothing ever stays the same, for as long as we want them too.
