Not a happy puppy
Well, as I kind of guessed, I am held prisoner at Shelton Hospital for now, being denied what is referred to as ''Section 17 leave" of the mental health act.
The power Psychiatrists have over people - based purely on their subjective opionion of who is deemed 'sane' or 'not sane' is sickening. Simply because I got angry and explained why, starting to rage in a very loud voice - I am 'insane'.
I explained what my triggers were. I explained that my father had died of lung cancer on the ward, that other patients were ridiculing me (because it helps me calm down to keep talking). Let alone the negligence I see, and how I stay up all night as I am too scared to sleep - for fear that I will become psychotic and loose control.
I could go on - but you get the idea.
Right now, I am down in Occupational Therapy trying to chill out to some music and decide what the next course of action is. I have an advocate and solicitor on the way at some point. Lets hope it amounts to something =)

UPDATE: PSYCHIATRIST FOUND TO BE INCOMPITENT!!
So, the Psychiatrist in his Infinite Wisdom decided in the end to put me on the same medication as my father once did - not knowing what it was even for really!

My official diagnosis is \"bi-polar effective disorder\". To give this drug to someone with this diagnosis is setting them up to get \'high\'.
Who in their right mind would do that?
Despite how funny the irony is, it\'s fair to say I\'m somewhat pissed off. Tonight I\'ll be up all night; atleast I\'ll have the lorazepam to take the edge off :|
I don\'t understand how \"normies\" can scream and shout but when someone with a label does it........screw the system seriously.
Good luck with the advocate!!!!!
Thanks Sini =D
I am actually have a sort of party here on the ward now, because I feel good with the mania ;) I\'ll be doing a lot and writing my journal entries soon.
Thanks for reading!!!!! =)
OH, I do not understand why some can scream and others can\'t. I do however believe we live in a world where nobody and I mean nobody is completely free of mental problems. Gosh I hate what I read here. Sounds like you are going through a lot. I use to take loarazepam, and it worked but they took me off it. Said it was too addictive. Great you find something which works, and put me on shit which doesn\'t work. Try this, try that. all the same ole stuff. I pay the price cash wise and health wise. I don\'t think I would want to be where you are at right now. Advocate? Hm, I hope you have a good one, they seem to advocate and then move on. I hope you have one who will listen and get you some results. This journal makes me sad.
Good Luck!
Hi Lucy,
It was a fairly tough day that one, yet with my being half Welsh - it\'s all water under the bridge now.
Lorazepam, and others of the family are addictive and I rarely look to take it (of my own choice). I also have a wonderful advocate I know well, as a friend and have volunteered for.
Thank you plantangent!! I feel it on my side.
