Not a bad day at all!

Considering all the little stresses in my life at the moment... this day went pretty well!  A bit more packing and a full day at work.  I ate really well today.  Lot's of fruit, veg etc.  you know the routine.  Some of the sides are flaring up a bit.  I'm coming up to my 10th shot and I was happy that the rashes hadn't come too strong.  Now they're hitting harder.  Maybe because of my "sunshine indiscretion" on the weekend, eh? Interesting article on the HCV news site today.  They recommended 3 things you could do to strengthen your immune system.  Go ahead!  Try to guess before you read ahead.  OK here they are: 1: get lots of sleep  2: keep joy in your life  3: scrub yourself in the shower (I'm not making this up!) My daughter is moving back here after living 2 years in Saskatchewan.  You guys don't know where that is, do you?  Think Kansas north.  Anyway, I'm really looking forward to it!  I love that kid and she makes me laugh!  (Love the other two also, in case they're reading... get outta your dad's journal.  You hear me?) Till next time... Let's get well together.   Jack

You sound much better Jack. Not sure about the scrubing...with a riba rash, sounds painful.
I\'ve heard of Saskatchewan...isn\'t that where Pocahontas is from? (JK) lol

Glad the day went well for you. I find if I overdo it - I pay the price. Enjoy your daughter - wishing you much laughter.

Hello Jack, such an inspirational journal entry, thanks for posting it!
I\'m sure you will enjoy your daughter coming back home.
Mine left to live near her school last year, and I missed her so much, had to get a little puppy in order to try to fill the void.
Since then she came back, and boy does she keep me busy, not lonely anymore, she makes sure of that! lol

The sides, well it\'s normal to have more as you go on with these weekly meds, to get more sides, since your system is full of them by now.
Which is why, I always tell my members, the only thing to do is, take it one day at the time.
You do have the Survival guide link, here it is, if you don\'t:

Great first hand advice and some humour, from 3 girlfriends who did their journey together.

About the 3 recommendations you posted, they do all make sense, since the one that is probably confusing us all, scrubbing in the shower, it\'s due to the fact that when we are in the shower, our pores are opened, and to scrub them you are eliminating the toxins that goes through the opens pores.
That\'s all, now it makes sense right?
But one words of advice, if you are subjectable to get the riba rash, I suggest that you use a soft scrubbing ball like chiffon, you know the ones they sell in pharmacies, they are tound, and really soaps up when you put a bit of soap on it, and rub very gently.

One more word of advice, be careful with the sun, especially if the riba rash as shown it\'s colors.

Take care Jack, looking forward to your next entry.

Love & Respect,
Mckenzie
One day at the time.
