Norwegian extends TES contract with Lufthansa Technik for its Boeing 737-800 fleet
The Norwegian Air Shuttle Group has signed a contract with Lufthansa Technik extending an existing Total Engine Support (TES) contract. The agreement covers all-inclusive services for the CFM56-7B engines powering the airline's existing fleet of 115 Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
According to the contract, Lufthansa Technik will cover all planned and unplanned shop visits at its highly dedicated CFM56 engine shop in Hamburg, Germany for the next five years. The agreement also includes a far-reaching engine lease management. Lufthansa Technik will secure the leasing of spare engines for the airlines to make sure the availability during peak overhaul periods. Additionally, the contract includes the regular use of Lufthansa Technik's proprietary Cyclean Engine Wash and on-site services such as Airline Support Team AST Engines as well as the use of the portable aerotracer device.
