Nonsense and Whimsey...
Well, today after a few hours of packing and cleaning, I decided to sit down at my comp and check all of my stuff. I turned on all of my messengers for the first time in months and did that stupid merge of MSN and Skype finally. I even went to Facebook and checked out some things, deleted a bunch of people from my list and changed my profile pic for the first time in years. I also added my first status update in well over a year.
As I was doing the status update (to tell the few remaining friends and my family members that I'm moving), my feed updated and BAM! there was the u/s picture of an old co-workers baby girl. Yup, just my luck that I FINALLY go back on FB after months of not checking it and I get slapped with that right away. Damn...
I talked to a couple of friends about things that have been going on lately and why I've not been on to talk to them. They've all been understanding, which is nice as one friend that SHOULD understand me isn't understanding at all and has deleted me from her friends list. Fine by me really, I don't need any more bullshit in my life. I've got enough already.
I started doing my LH test strips today. I have 10 left. If I'm not preggo at the end of this cycle, I'm going to invest in a digital OPK. If I'm not preggo by the end of my 6th cycle of Letrozole (2 more cycles after this one), I'm going to start the process for fostering with the intent to adopt or adopting a child. It may take a few years, but at least if I can start the process, it'll give me some peace of mind that I'm doing SOMETHING to get a child while I go through all the decisions about if IUI will work for me or if I have to move on to IVF (which requires a large weight loss).
Now if only I could find a motivator that could get me doing things every day instead of wallowing in my depression.

Stupid Facebook. Every time I see an ultrasound picture I want to hurl. About a year ago a friend of mine showed me an ultrasound pic on her phone of a mutual friend of ours and I just about exploded. I was like, \"oh cool, it\'s a grainy picture of a 12 week old fetus, who fucking cares??\" And I remembered she stared at me in total disbelief and said, \"But it\'s Julie\'s 12 week old fetus!!\" People just don\'t get it. Fuck ultrasound pictures. The babies look like cats or aliens anyway.
I\'m glad you have a plan going forward. And it\'s almost moving day, right? Once the initial stress of the move is over you\'ll have fun decorating and organizing...or maybe that\'s just me!!!
I will have fun decorating and organizing, but it\'ll be around a school schedule. I\'ll be glad to be busy with outside of the home things for once. Also, with 2 sets of stairs (it\'s a 2 storey house with a partially finished basement) I\'ll have lots of exercise opportunities, especially on laundry day! :)
gggrrrr sorry about the facebook debacle - I can totally relate. Even now (that I am prego) when I see other prego\'s I get upset. I can tell by how early they announced their news and the comments they make that they didn\'t have trouble conceiving and never miscarried. I shouldn\'t do it, but I still get upset with them.
Glad to hear you are getting things ready for your move. Have you found yourself cleaning stuff out and getting rid of?? When our landlord called to say he wanted us out, I started selling stuff on facebook and making a box of donation stuff. I have more to go but I figure I\'m done with some of this stuff and I don\'t need to pack it, move it and/or store it. I think it also gives me a sense of having some control. But crapolla I don\'t want to move. Good luck with your TTC this month, I keep hoping you\'ll hit the jackpot soon.
Ugh the Evil FB strikes again! I am so sorry, as you know from my recent journal entries I deactivated mine in January and didn\'t log back on until about a week or so ago. Of course it was bunches of new babies and pregnancy announcements and pictures of friends getting together for events that i wasn\'t invited to. It was a major punch to my heart and ovaries :(
So I have made a new commitment to stay away from it and I feel much better again!
Hang in there hun and I commend you for being proactive, getting ready for your move and continuing to move forward with everything!
Great job, sending you support and hugs!
Ugh, FB. Sometimes I think our lives would be better had it never been invented.
Good luck with the move and here\'s hoping for a BFP really soon!!
Thanks ladies. Yeah FB is evil, I used to only go on to play games, but then that got to be too much and I stopped. I mainly use it as a glorified messenger now. I have 52 \'friends\' and 90% of that is my extended family. Unfortunately, all of my cousins that I have on there are my age or a bit older and are all having kids now, so I still can\'t get away from it.
