No Weapon formed against me...

Today once again this scripture proved God's Promise, let me explain... this morning I picked up my godson whom I haven't seen in awhile as we were headed to his dad's job to do some work. Seen we hadn't spoken for awhile, we talked about what has been happening, I asked him about his faith and he mentioned among other things that last week he did a tatoo (his line of work) for some one where the scripture they requested was Isaiah 54:17 "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD." I mentioned what a powerful scripture that is that confirms God's promise over us for protection. We got to work and several hours later while he was outside in front of the business accompanying another worker in changing a battery, someone walked up to him, pulled out a gun on them and demanded his jewelry, etc. while waving the gun on my godson's head and threatening to shoot him, eventually my godson complied in providing his chain and ring. The thief left without anyone being injuried. When the officers arrived one of the disclosures made by one of them was that yesterday alone there had been several armed robberies which had resulted in the victims being shot, and explained how it was important to keep things in perspective, he was uninjuried, she adviced on using a minimal of jewelry in that business area, and stated that she herself follows that guideline and showed off a thin necklace having a Cross and a cheap bracelet. Under the circumstances God protected these young men. When we contacted his dad (the owner) who was out of the office on an errand, I reminded him of something he had done earlier to his son, my godson has a tatoo on his right arm of a praying hands which underneath says God's Son ... in the office earlier his dad as we were talking about something he stated, "God's Son" as referring to his son's tatoo... unknowingly those words spoken became a blessing over his son and God honored it.  Do not underestimate the power behind God's promises for you... for He Loves His Children... God bless you!

God bless you, the only thing is i have 2 tattoos and most people will tell you that they are old Testament and don\'t affect us, but we as Christians are not supposed to bring attention to ourselves and occult and pagan priests both have used markings in their ceremonies and witchcraft.

THis is interesting, as I recall in reading somewhere about the controversy about tattoos... Can the same concern be applied if tattoos are meant to glorify GOd?...
