No News is Good News?
I'm still waiting for my doctor's office to call with a new appointment now that I've been able to get the tests done they asked for. ( insert game show theme song here ) Meantime, I've been finding out the proper dosage for my pain meds, what works and what knocks me out mid sentence. I am feeling a little isolated due to my doctor's orders of no exercise and due to pain, don't go out much, including church. As anyone reading this journal knows, I had just begun going back to church with my neighbor. I can't sit long without squirming in pain so I lie down a lot. My appetite is non existent and I eat only when my stomach starts to hurt. I am taking my meds as prescribed and other than dusting, don't do any of my household chores anymore. No lifting, no reaching, no bending, blah, blah, blah. I get it. I have no visitors, rare phone calls, and no mail unless it's a bill, medical bill...sigh. Is this what my life has become? Crap!! I rebel! I am too young to have an old mindset. In spite of my recent middle aged birthday, I will fight back somehow. Now where did I put my sword? anyone? ha ha. Dang! DDD is a joy killer at times. I remember, happiness and joy are not the same thing. I may not be happy with my present situation but as they say in the midwest, stick around for 5 minutes and the weather will change. I know this to be true of my own situation. One minute I am walking across the room, the next writhing again in pain and in my bed for 2 days. This is my life and I will live it the best I know how. With a smile on my face and my pretty panties on...never know when you have to call 911. LOL. Keep on keeping on my fellow warriors. We will be victorious when called home to the Lord.

I missed a birthday so belated wishes to you.
I love the pretty panties comment. I understand about and experience the loss of church. We are 15 miles away and by the time I get ready, get there and then the up and downs for liturgy and readings and kneeling at the rail for communion, well I can\'t. I am sorry you are loosing that.
I believe in hope and I know you have it. I also know you have faith and that is what will get you through each day.
Happy birthday, didn\'t know until I read your journal. I can relate totally to your description of your day.
I know with DDD some days are better than others, even some hours are better than others.
I kick the devil\'s butt every day, I am sure when we wake in the mornings Darlene, he shouts, OH NO! SHE\'S AWAKE...We are warriors. We are survivors, yeah!
