No more Taco Tuesdays
When living with RV Joe, we had a weekly dinner of Taco Tuesdays. This morning as I was getting up, the first thought was Its Taco Tuesday. I've changed alot of things since being back in limbo and waiting my 500sf palace in the sky. I hardly eat at all..most likely from not being in that stressful situation and it's easier for me to focus on the prize, or, it could be that my need for control has kicked in and my anorexia is starting again. At least I am aware that it could be a problem. I'm just in survival mode right now.
I am concerned about Roomies health. He is stubborn when it comes to seeing the doctor and this morning and complaining he hasn't been feeling good. I've been on him since we met to take better care of himself but as he ignored me in the relationship, he also ignored the warnings. I guess being somewhat of a hypochondriac myself, I've always been proactive in the health arena. I am not his caretaker and will leave this for him to handle although I will continue to be a supportive friend.
I have to continuly repeat to myself that people can take care of themselves and that I need to focus on me.
Last night I got my renters insurance and the only thing left is turning the electric on. I'm quite proud of myself actually that I was able to do all this on my own. It's still been raining here. My poor plants are wilted from no sun. Not much going on here as far as chaos...which is..a great thing. Sammycat just came in and reminded me that I need to get up and get ready for work. Have a great day all!

"Taco Tuesday" is so fun to say that I still allow myself to say it every Tuesday, even though it's been quite allot of years since I've had anybody to celebrate Taco Tuesday with. Some weeks I even partake of the event solo, just for grins. It's a good day when I can celebrate a lost joy. The loss doesn't need to diminish the gift of the experience.
For what it's worth
My last physical was in 1995. My hubs owns a walk-in medicine chest with the routinely visited medical teams to keep it continually replenished. Things get seriously ugly when he tries to pressure me into his medical faith. Back off, Big Boy. Love does not require ethical cloning.
I'm throwing you a ticker tape parade on the dry side of the sunbelt for your continued commitment to independence. Way to do the do! ! ! May it lead you to unimagined healing places.
I’m glad you are able to feel pride in yourself for handling these things on your own. I think being able to sit back and think, “ I did this by myself for myself” is such a satisfying feeling.
When I was in my 20s, I lived on taco deals at the local bars. There was always a buck taco night on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday somewhere. It was awesome.
Have a good day!
There were times were I thought the relationship was the most normal relationship ever. When he was sober we made a great team. I had a Wonder Woman Coffee mug and he had a Batman coffee mug...I called us Superheros and we were gonna concur the world together in the RV batcave. Sadly... the alcohol weakened his powers.. It was a childish but fun way of looking at the relationship. It's the small windows of good times and the roosters crowing outside my door that I miss.
