No hunger pangs anymore
I am trying very hard to hold it together. Ever since I took that stupid Levsin (antispasmodic) that my GI doc prescribed, I have not had one hunger pain. ZERO. I hardly ate anything one day and didn't feel a thing going on in my stomach. It's like that medicine turned off my stomach. IT is very scary. I can not find hardly anything about it on the net and I asked a doctor on JustAnswer and he said my hunger pangs should have returned to normal after 2-3 days of stopping the med. It is now 5 days and I get a feeling like my stomach wants to feel a bit hunger, but the hunger doesn't start. I only know to eat because it is breakfast, lunch and dinner. I also can't really tell when I am full. I just eat until I feel bored or feel that I might get acid reflux if I eat too much. I know this medicine did this to me. I am SO UPSET because I don't know if this is permanent or not. Did this medicine destroy the wiring in my brain that sends signals to my stomach or vice versa?? I wish I would have trusted my instincts and not taken this medicine!!!!!!!! The doc said the supplements I was taking are bad for me???REALLY?? THIS IS A million times worse than those supplements.
This medicine should be declared a poison!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sorry - I thought you were healed? Just know that the body wants to heal itself and you will improve although it takes time I have found when they mess with digestion!
Try to eat as normal as you used to. I never get hunger pains because I\'m always hungry...or maybe i have them too often...dunno! I eat when i\'m hungry or when i\'m full. i eat when i\'m sick or when i\'m sad. I eat when i\'m happy and i eat when I shouldn\'t. I do try to not eat three hours before bed time.

Hi! thank you for sharing--I didn\'t take it as all about you..lol. I take it as sharing your experience... I WAS healed before the doctor decided that we needed to tinker with my \"spastic colon\". I KNEW I shouldn\'t take that daggum medicine! I find it really hard to eat if I don\'t have a \"hungry\" feeling. I always get the weirdest side-effects from medicine. I guess I will just eat every few hours and hope and pray that the signals get turned back on. The good thing about this whole thing is that yesterday I had to go to my GYN and normally that is a major anxiety provoking experience, but since my stomach and intestines didn\'t start \"shaking\' and sending anxiety signals to my brain, I was cool as a cucumber. I have never had a gyn visit where I wasn\'t a nervous wreck. I got to experience it like \"normal\" women do. That was a complete plus, but now I just want my hypersensitive stomach back, lol:)
It will wear off. What was it for??? Heart burn. IBS?? antisposmetic? those pills are awful I think I never take that stuff. Accept Bentyl it is pretty good for relaxing Colon. I have diverticulosis now. I just live with it. But those pills will wear off. All these pills the Dr. Quackass give to people. I,am so scaredof all DRs. You should be fine soon. love mary ann
Hi Mary Ann, they were for IBS (rapid bowel transit). THey are an antispasmodic. Thanks so much for the reassurance. The good thing about the pills is it stopped my intestines from shaking. There is something to be said for that, because now I can\'t get revved up to feel anxiety. But, I really would rather feel anxiety, which is normal and have the ability to feel hunger, than feel like this zombie like I do right now! But thank you, other people have said it will wear off. It makes me feel better. You are right. I am not taking any more meds unless no choice. I found out that this Levsin medicine is from the plant belladonna, which is really poison!
