no hope
I don't expect anyone's response here. I'm just writing so i can look back tomorrow at what i'm saying now.
I have a mother who is pretty much insane and lives with me and helps me with finances and pretty much freaks out on me at the drop of a dime and treats me like i'm a 12 yr old.
I'm 53.
So. I had the good sense to close my line of credit at 'our' casino and i've already blown my $850 available through Certegy this week, but NOW......................I have a call in to the next closest casino who is 'checking my credit' to see if they will afford me a line of credit TONIGHT.
stupid ? oh you betcha. Is gambling out of control ? oh you betcha. Is my sanity at risk here if i stay in this house with my mean evil mother one more second ? oh you betcha.
Lets just hope this casino calls back and denies me credit TONIGHT.

P.S.- I\'m 53 too & I\'m on my own kind of crazy hamster wheel of a life. I had huge urges to gamble today but I didn\'t go. Thankfully! We can both get through this hard time! Keep trying to quit and don\'t give up! Hugs & Love! Cher

Hi ladies. Sorry for the \'no reply\' no update on this one. Of course they gave me the credit. And I went and spent another $1,000. They must\'ve got word of my gambling habit prior to arriving because boy that casino executive host was RIGHT there in the credit room minutes after I arrived, handing me his card, offering me and a guest a free dinner. The good news is, I really didn\'t enjoy the casino, so I don\'t plan on going back anyway. What I do know for sure is that just to make sure of that, I will be banning from there the second the marker comes due for payment in 2 weeks. June 1st is my planned banning day !
