No fast food!
Today I had a victory over fast food! I didn't go out to eat when I wanted to. I have to take this one day at a time. I'm an addict and an enabler. I don't make Geo healthy by taking him out to a double or triple cheeseburger. He needs to watch what he's eating, and I'm ruining it for him. I need to get strong and not suggest going to fast food anymore. Even though McDonald's had a special today, I didn't go. I did go over my calories, though.. I ate too much rice and then added ice cream to my protein drink. I was trying to make it taste better. Well, it didn't come out great, but it's good. I can make it better with strawberries as well.
I tried going for a walk today and only made it .4 miles. I just wasn't feeling well. Other than that, it's been a good day. I made homemade beef enchiladas for dinner. they came out good and they were less work than the chicken enchiladas I made last week. I think it's something that we are going to be putting in our rotation. it's not too hard... cooking chicken is easier, but Geo is getting tired of plain chicken. So I have to think of something different. He says all my chicken tastes the same, and I make too much rice. He doesn't like rice. He did like the bagged shrimp fried rice I made last night. He said I should learn how to make it so we can do it cheaper. I wouldn't mind learning.
I got my butt handed to me last night by my friend Courtney. She was saying I need to volunteer more to get out more and feel needed. She got mad that I wanted to cut my hours. She knows me pretty well, so I am going to take her advice. I know my therapist would agree with her, just like she did with the fast food addiction. I think I'm going to try for no more than 1 time a week. I have set a budget for myself, and I'm determined to not go over it. I need to get control of my spending. I spend all my money on fast food so if I'm not going out, it should be okay. She laid down the law, and I'm going to try my best to keep it up.

I tend to make the same foods over and over too! Suggestion...check out pinterest for new recipe ideas. I try to make it a goal to have a new recipe once a week. But it is so easy to go with the familar.
I am smiling at your comment on your friend Courtney....I am glad you are listening to her! HUGS!
Hey congratulations!! Sounds like you\'ve had a great day- one thing at a time. Maybe try adding some spice, or cooking the chicken with sliced onion and herbs with some olive oil?
Best of luck with tomorrow - WS
Great that you went for your walk So proud of you.
Yes one day at a time. you succeeded today for no MacDonald s .. keep it up.
I hope you volunteer more too. But, remember , listen to your body. Just try to do more.. not over due.
It\'s so easy to stick with the recipes we know. Good idea to add in the beef into your rotation. Do you ever make meat loaf or hamburgers?
