No clarity
My boss yelled at me at work. She's never done this before and people in the office commented after she left. I'm a pretty quiet,calm person so it was a big surprise. I still have no clarity about what my duty is here at the office. I decided I won't react to her drama. She's picking at me because she has loaded herself with too much work all the while I'm telling her to give me more responsibility and now its eating away at her. It's not my problem and I refuse to react to the drama. Until they give me a job description I'll just continue doing what I'm doing. I need clarity and dont feel like I should have to ask for it. As it is I dont feel thereis an open door policy because i was basically put down after telling her my situation. It's a tough spot. I wonder if I need to start looking for another job. I have never ever had this much trouble with a job. Everything went sideways when my ex coworker left.
I have this financial responsibility now and dont need this crap to happen.
I really wish something good would last.

You reacted in the right way by allowing boss to say what was on her mind and not reacting to it. She is reacting to fear,, with anger, and all anger is, is an attempt to make someone else feel guilty for the dis-ease that she feels. So don't take it personally, just let it go in one ear and out the other. It sounds like she can't handle her own job...
Try not to feel trapped in your job due to your new financial responsibilities.
It will all work out.
