No better
Why does it never get better? I try to be nice to people, I go out of my way to do more than my share, and I am left lonely. I never get included, even the church group forgets about me. I love my grandchildren but don't want to just be "Grandma". I want to be Jan and worth something to somebody. I have never been good at making friends, the best friends I have had have been men, not women. So many of my friends have died. I let that man I saw two weeks ago send me in a tailspin. I had been at least not miserable before but now I can't stop crying. My friend is dead, my dogs died, and I should quit feeling sorry for myself. My job is alright but all there are are changes and not all changes are for the better. I watch the people I have supported at work get older and sicker. Gee, I have got to get over this.

Jan, you are special. Of course you want to be more than just Jan. Sometimes when we go out of our way all the time, we do get to feeling like we are not included, and maybe we aren\'t. My counselor told me to quit always being the one to do everything when nothing is returned.
I know how much you loved your dogs, and I still think about it often. You have suffered a lot and should get support and be made to feel you are not just Jan.
Like you, I have had mainly male friends, so that is something I can\'t comment on. You deserve something to make you feel good about yourself too. I am thinking of you!
Jan, I wish I lived near you I would love to be your friend. It seems people are wrapped up in their own groups these days. I really admire how strong you are with all you have bee through, you are a encouragement to others. Hugs to you my friend
