no bed, no kitchen table
and a couple hours ago, no renter's insurance, though that, along with my phone and internet, to really end Monday 22nd.
Day by day to slowly get ready to move 15 miles away, to an apartment in which the new living room and bedroom could both fit into my current bedroom, but...
Last night to give away my kitchen table, and throw away my mattress; the mattress, from 2007, was in such bad shape that sleeping on the floor isn't any worse.
At least last night, the woman who helped me neuter a homeless cat, heard the music from downstairs, in my ex-bedroom, where my computer now rests.
Predictably (?) a really wacko local asked if I had anything to give away, when he saw the stuff being put into her car, with him following me up the steps into my apt---with me reluctantly willing to give him my last electric radiator when I move. This is the same ex-dentist?doctor (according to even my own dentist) who eats out the garbage, and puts UNOPENED loafs of bread out for cats in the alley at the neighborhood grocery store.
And, today, at insurance agent I got to badmouth the notorious street where I live, and repeat how my landlord allegedly complained that I really hated the downstairs idiot cause he smokes pot, and I'm sober. "Excuse me?!" the insurance agent's secretary said, though with me repeating about its the notorious main drag of town, she didn't find it too outlandish.

Am trying to convince myself it would be better for my cat, especially during the next winter months; the heater/air conditioner at the new place is right at a window for him to look out of. I already told him, \'you better not get sick on me\" ;)
No doubt Kitty will make the window unit his favorite spot. Is he a good lap kitty? Maybe with the smaller living space he will be in your lap more and sleep with you. That would be nice!
this still wild cat, that I got from a shelter in 2006, to keep my other cat company, is finally calming down a bit, though I\'m also spending time with him now that my other cat is gone.
7 at night and downstairs 65 yr old idiot really cranked up the music again---4ever seems he sleeps during day or slowly gets wasted out of his mind so that he gets nasty/tough enough to deliberately play music loud enough for me to feel it through the floor. Thankfully, I wont be here for new year\'s eve nonsense.
I definitely think kitty will become closer to you after the move. You are his one constant.

I have over 600 dvds, most put into sleeves to save room; watched some of \"the prisoner\" 60s tv show, predictably, and some crime movies; could relate to jerry mouse having to put up with tom cat\'s music, when he seranades another cat with \"is you is or is you aint my baby\"; splurged on 3-disc woody woodpecker cartoons just to get \"shhh\" in which a man has to put up with loud trumpet playing. And today won another amazon gift card when using bing search engine; plan on getting a twilight zone episode I can relate to.

for most of my contradictory, pretentious, life I \"liked\" arty foreign movies, and have enough of them, but in my olde age I learned to appreciate \"superficial\" movies and cartoons, though almost all of my dvds are pre-1980s stuff.
The 1940s classic, \'sulivan\'s travels\" even makes the case that cartoons are best for you; the George Clooney movie, \"oh brother where art thou\" was even inspired by that 40s movie.
I\'m also guilty of being able to identify with George castanza on \"senfield\"
I never got into Seinfeld but I LOVE Oh Brother. Have watched it about a million times! My daddy having been from Georgia I have met Pappy O\'Daniel and the Soggy Bottom Boy types over and over.
My favorite Christmas movie if Friday After Next, with Ice Cube. Not very \"up on more recent movies. For TV I am gaga over Game of Thrones.

You never realize how much \"stuff\" (good and bad) you acquired in an apt. until you have to move! Just keep your thoughts focused on how much better your life is going to be. It used to irk me also that people would descend like vultures and ask me for my things! No shame in their game!

really depressing to see somebody in a santa suit walking dead main drag of my hometown, around 130 in afternoon today; almost nobody in downtown, especially cause almost no stores anymore in downtown.

in many ways I have almost nothing to move...two $5 walmart boxes of diaries dating back to 1984, two other boxes of personal papers for me to edit down after I move, four boxes of dvds, which I stuffed with clothes, hoping they don\'t break, and some other stuff which would probably make 5 suv trips total.
Lots of coffee today, but no energy at all----even the homeless cats have disappeared, as though they can sense something is different.
Kinda scares me that some homeless whacko will know I\'ll be gone from my apt most of tomorrow, miles away between trips. I\'m also paranoid of my friend borrowing a trailer, for less trips, with my stuff in the trailer, to be scattered about if an accident.
the town 15 miles away is at least a lot more alive, with an actual thriving downtown.
Well Mike I have been stepping in horse doody most of my life so I guess why I have been so lucky! I know I have been griping a lot lately about my Mom but truth be told I have had a pretty nice life.
A thriving downtown sure sounds like a nice change.. May be some nice places for you to hang out and meet a better class of people!
