Nine Days
It has been 9 days since my mother passed away, and this is the actual 1st day i have had all to myself, since her passing and the funeral to where i basically had to not only take care of my stepfather who has been married to my mom for over 40 yrs,and my sister,so for 8 days my life has been a whirlwind of activity...It all started on 6-12-13 when my mom told bill(my stepdad) to take her to the hospital because she couldnt swallow her oatmeal and was haveing a hard time breathing, what we thought was pneamonia, was actually a heart attack to which they put a metal stint in,she recovered slightly then took a turn for the worse on friday 6-14-13,to which they put her on a respirator ,feeding tube, and heart pump, all that and still her blood pressure kept dropping, the nurses and her cardiologist was great and they did everything humanly possible...But the good lord decided to call her home on monday 6-17-13,it hits me at the oddest times that she is gone, like today my day off from work i would call her in the morning just to chat,I know she is in a better place with the lord, her mom,and her baby girl who died at only 19 mos old of a whole in her heart, but i catch myself thinking oh i need to tell mom this or that,I know she will forever be with me,I was the last 1 to see her 2 mins before she passed away...I hear her every day in both my heart and head, and trust me when i say i talk to her every day as well, people have told me over the 8 days how strong I am,my reply I am my mothers daughter,my mother gave me love, strength, guidance, yes we had our disagreements over the yrs,but she stuck by me thru it all...My MOM,My Best Friend,I will ALWAYS LOVE AND MISS YOU!!!

Oh, I am so deeply sorry that you lost your Mom. My Mom pass in 2009 so I know exactly how you feel. I still want to call my Mom and tell her this and that. I go to their house and I still expect to see her coming down the hall or expect her to drive up any minute. It took a long time to stop expecting the phone to ring every morning or to stop seeing if she left a message while I stepped out - she had a knack for calling me as soon as I stepped out. That strongness\" only appears in public until you get home and it\'s time to face the deeply imbedded loneliness for Mom. I thought I was cured when I went to work but then I got home and the sadness as deeply imbedded that I could barely move or eat. I talk to my Mom every day also and ask God, often, how is my Mom doing? My deepest sympathy goes out to you. Take care.
thanks energy, yes your exactly right i goto work, and do my daily routine of things, but i come home and i feel empty inside,i know she is with me,cuz i hear her every day,it will take awhile I am sure to feel better, everyone tries to help, but i really just wanna sleep,no appetite whatsoever,in fact i lost 10 pds in 2 weeks,i know god and the rest of the family members that has gone on before me is taking great care with her.....I am just taking it 1 day,1 hour at a time its really all i can do for now...thanks again...Take Care.
