NIGHTMARE FROM YESTERDAY NONSENSE
At age 62 I bike for my health, and cause it's the only transportation I have. I got a bit sloppy with the bike yesterday, after going to the Walmart and leaving with a backpack of stuff; I stopped at the farmers' market between Walmart and my home, with my SLOWLY peddling through the market on my bike.
I bought 6 dollars of used dvds, and 15 dollars of veggies/fruits. Then, I went through an open roofed area, walking my bike while seated on it, not using the peddles. That quick some...idiot...straddled my front tire and barked, "You're not bicycling through here." That's all he said, so I tried to continue, with him repeating his statement, so I had to ask who he was; an "employee" of the market. So, I got off my bike, walked it through the roofed area, to the exit, hopped on my bike, for him to try to stop me again; I left soon after.
Avoidant-Personality-me too dumb/crazy to respond at the time: he wasn't wearing a mask, with him maybe 3 inches from my face, straddling my front bike tire; the owner saw me before this with no trouble, I could have gone to her afterward.
I probably should have locked the bike somewhere, or walked it next to me---but I got confronted like something out of highschool, or from some criminal.
Sooo, in keeping with my possible Avoidant Personality, I'll just avoid the local farmers' market for the rest of my life; have some satisfaction of not spending any money there. I had a nightmare from this nonsense, and just plain hate myself for my brain otherwise shutting down during any confrontation
