nightmare
I can't remember the last time I had a nightmare... I have had teeth dreams from time to time... they are NOT very pleasant (thats for sure) but every once in awhile ... they are extremely vivid, which brought this dream into the horror catagory. Actually, I think its possible that I already wrote about another one of my "teeth dreams' in a past journal entry. This one was surely a front runner! So, I run over to the mirror and I know that Im going to lose some teeth because in my dreams... this is standard and somehow I know that this is standard procedure. (somehow?) Usually, once I get to the sink its plink ( maybe one or two) then more teeth fall out (plink plink plink... ) But THIS nightmare-- -- I go running to the sink in some bathroom ( we were all at some "get together" or something ( dunno- but "people" were there) instead of my teeth just falling out, the right side of my upper teeth and part of my jaw came off ... all in ONE. BIG. HUGE chunk. It looked like the whole roof of my mouth came with it... HORRIFIC! I looked up and saw my reflection in the mirror ( very clearly) my mouth looked like it was bloody. Even though it happened on the upper right side-- the upper left looked more "sunken in" in a few spots ( like an elderly persons mouth looks because they haven't worn their dentures in awhile.) I thought "Oh GREEAT- there goes some more teeth- this can't be happening - all that work for nothing!" ( pretty much the end of dream- what I remember)*** I have had thousands of dollars of dental work in the last year and a half - maybe that had something to do with the intensity of the dream...? I had my four front teeth crowned and I am very pleased with the results. I also have had a bunch of fillings done ( the old silver fillings were replaced with tooth colored fillings.) At least four MORE crowns were needed in some back teeth. Still one more crown to go-- next week. After that, I should be pretty much done. Dream interpretation?? Maaaybe... LOL... teeth falling into the sink is a metaphor for a bunch of coins going down the drain! More like dollars AND a lot of cents! All due to being so ill that it was impossible to take care of these things. I had hope that someday, I would be well enough to go to the dentist- I'm here now and I'm VERY THANKFUL ...!

they say that dream losing your teeth are related to pregnancy if you can still have children and have to do with wanting to fill some sort of void if we are too old. I had losing my teeth dreams also. Not as graphic as yours. Maybe you have a big void! I actually saw this on Dr. OZ a couple years ago. My mom had dreams abou this alot. She had five children and wanted more. They say if you dream about flying you might have some health problem bye the way you fly. Wierd huh?
I used to have recurring dreams of swimming across a bay to get to a small island. Sounds fun, huh? In my nightmare I was being chased by killer whales and great white sharks! No kidding. I used to wake up with my heart beating out of my chest.
I bet you love your new teeth. Must look great!
