Night of Day 4

Hoping this is transient symptoms... I keep getting these darn twitches in my right eye and every now and then on the right side of my neck or shoulder... WTH? Yesterday, it was "surges".... today "twitches".  I am wondering if I shouldn't have taken an extra dose of calcium? Perhaps my levels are too high now while I was trying to prevent them from being too low? I don't know.... ARGH.  I took an ativan for the anxiety and it's not helping... What could be causing this now? If it gets worse, I guess we'll be heading to the ER or calling my surgeon on her cell.... Will keep you posted.

Get your Magnesium levels checked as well. Find out for sure. Sorry, have no idea what else to offer to you. Let\'s pretend I had a TT done too. I would be wracking my brains to figure out the exact things you are trying to figure out as well. {{{hugs}}} :-(

I\'m wondering if your potassium and magnesium are low? mabe from all of the calcium and Vit. D you were taking. I wonder if you drink some orange juice (loaded with potassium) you might feel a bit better? Just a thought..I will send a note to my endo asking this question about your symptoms..i will pray you get better:)

Thank you ladies.... I started googling like crazy and came up with low calcium or hypothyroidism.... so I\'m guessing that if my calcium were low enough to cause twitches then I would probably feel the tingling and numbness in my fingers and toes and lips that my surgeon described if my parathyroids are shocked... so maybe I\'ve plummeted hypo. I skipped the synthroid today per my doctor\'s orders and will start synthroid again tomorrow at 25 mcg.... I\'ll see if the twitches let up. I will also add a glass of orange juice in the morning and one at night tomorrow for my potassium as it was normal with labs yesterday in ER but at the lowest number in range... Praying seems to work for me best :) If the twitches continue after tomorrow\'s attempts, then I will lean toward my magnesium being low? UGH... removing my thyroid was a the best decision I could make but I knew that a new chapter would start and new journey would be begin... This new chapter is about \"patience\"... :) Of course, every little change sends me thru a panic. Overall, I can say I do feel a LOT better since the surgery than I did before the surgery.
