Night Bright

How bright you are, my well-lit one
Glaring all throughout the night
Protecting yourself from the clever thieves
Who rapel down down from the treesĀ
Trees you have lit so well
Casting inky black shadows upon your neighbors
What dark gifts you give
Gouging retinas with your gaseous fears
Washing out starlight
I try so hard to sympathize
With your glaring fears
But still I miss the dark, sacred night
You murder with your fear light
