Got our Federal Tax Refund back today (finally) & it’s nearly $1K more than originally calculated! They say I made a mistake & that this is the corrected amount. Who am I to argue with the Federal government?
So that will helping knocking down the credit card. With any luck, we’ll have it paid off before the end of the year.
On the other side of things, I paid $14 for Federal & $239 for State (IL) in taxes for my aunt. But that will be over & done with (hopefully!). I’d like to work next on getting her stories published, but I’m having a hard time finding what’s finished. She has a lot of things started.
My daughter wants to try out for 2 sports next year in High School: swimming & tennis. I told her not to spread herself too thin. As it is, she’ll be in orchestra, plus she’ll be taking 2 languages. I don’t know if she’s prepared for the work at the high school level, considering that the middle school level is not too hard, in my opinion. But we’ll see.
