Nice weekend overall
Saturday was my birthday. 45. I guess for now I am OK with that. We met some friends in Lancaster PA. We went on the Strasburg Railroad and road the train. Went shopping, although I really didn't buy anything (I had bought myself so much in the last few weeks anyway.) We went out to a buffet for dinner. OMG. After I entered in that last journal entry, I just CRASHED with the food! Have to get back on track AGAIN! I guess this is going to be an ongoing struggle for the rest of my life. But it was a beautiful day and we all had a really good time. David was cranky and again, I think this goes back to not enough sleep. He and our friends' son, Max, are the same age and both ADHD and similar personalities, so they "nudge" each other. On Sunday, David was just plain BAD! Throwing things, mouthy to the max, breaking things, beligerent, refused to clean his room. So the punishment: I made him sit on his bed while I cleaned his room. He refused to sit and I would slow down or stop. By the late afternoon, he was begging me to help clean his room. He just could not sit still. He kept saying "please let me help clean my room." Then, all of a sudden, he was great and perfect and we finished together and he got his class project done too. Yesterday, I went to Mom's and got my hair colored and cut and had steaks on the grill for dinner. Again, the weater was really nice. Today is just cold and rainy and very windy. I am wearing a sweatshirt and running my little space heater in my office and SO ready for a nap right now. Oh, I got my Spring Green Nintendo DS! Loads of fun! I am currently playing "My Word Coach" and "Professor Layton & the Curious Village" which is a mystery/puzzle solving game. This was my birthday present to me. Went out to a fire this am. Picked up my boss on the way. We are shorthanded and in a hiring freeze right now. At least no layoffs. But it is still a struggle. So still dealing with the stress, which I know is not helping with my eating and exercise and motivation. Gosh, I was really doing well. I can't beat myself up. This is a journey. But when I fall off the wagon, I am embarrassed to even come here. Well, will get up early tomorrow am and get to the Y! So busy and just embarrassed. Hard for me to help others when I am sliding myself. But I will get caught up with everyone. Promise!
