Nice Weekend

I am in disbelief as to how well T is doing.  For all that we've been through I still find myself waiting for the other shoe to drop and -- it hasn't!  T came home a half an hour before curfew, talked about all the friends he was with at the fireworks, said he was tired and went to bed.  My husband and I decided to go up and watch the works instead of staying home.  After all of these years we finally figured out the best place to park, where to walk, and how to get out of there in record time.  Funny, we could have used that plan when the boys were little because back then 10:30 was late! Funny story - I received a call the other day from a man asking for my husband.  I told him he wasn't home and asked who was calling.  He said his name and then I hesitated when he asked if I was his wife.  The man who identified himself is a TV  trouble-shooter who chases "corrupt" people around with a camera and, basically, harasses them.  My husband was president last year of the kids soccer program and a member who was on the board (treasurer) (I'm friends with his wife) stole money from the program.  I thought that that was what the call was about.  Well - that was not what it was about.  He saw my husband's name in a college publication (the one my husband graduated from) and told me that he was an alumni from there, also, and wanted to touch base with the people from this area who graduated from there.  Whew!  He then identified himself (as to what he does) and I told him I knew of him. It may have seemed strange to him that I didn't say anything before but I didn't want to get into. I guess the phone still makes me jump (a little) from all the calls of "disaster" I've received over the past few years!  LOL
