Nice experience
Yesterday when we had the bbq I asked the gardner to help me carry the grill and the chairs. When I called him I told him that it is better if he comes later in the day so that it wouldn't be hard for him from the sun, so he answered in a light hearted manner that God takes care of things. I am not religious but the way he said it was akin to my new goal which is Think Simple. He handed his fate to God and wanted to help me without worrying about the sun. He was right the sun was not that strong and he would maybe benefit from the nice sun rays and by thinking simple he had a good time in the sun and helped me arrange for the bbq. He thought simple. I don't think I can rely on God because I don't believe that there is a God, but I have been struggling to rely on a philosophy that can cover all the bases when wanting to overcome odds or be grateful for what one wants. Believing in God and following the already established philisophy of being thankful, or asking God's assistance when one is in need helps a person through things.
I cannot understand the God concept and therefore I do not have a omni-philosophy that covers all basis and that I can rely on to help me through all aspects of life that is other than routine. I am in search of such a philosophy. The think simple goal has helped me and it is great that I fumbled across this teaching through the incident of the 5 dollars that happened with me. I hope that i can learn such a philosophy more often. I have therefore signed up to beliefnet.com which is a spiritual networking website (similar to this great website) where I will be able to explore my spirituality more and learn things through discussion and making friends.
